Council is planning a new playspace for AJ Davis Reserve in Airport West as proposed in the AJ Davis Reserve Master Plan. The playspace will be located on the embankment north of the pavillion, next to the oval. The playspace has been planned to create diverse and nature based play opportunities for children of different ages and abilities.
The plan for the new playspace includes:
Swings, slides and other small play elements
A ropes course, small climbing wall, dry creek bed and rocks and logs for scrambling
A small shelter
Picnic tables and park seats
New native trees and garden beds
New paths, designed to be accessible for people with disability and rubber surfacing for access to key play elements.
Thank you for participating in the community consultation. A summary of the feedback can be found in the document library. The design is now being finalised. Please note that the design document included in the Playspace Design Documents section is the draft concept design which is being amended in response to the consultation feedback received.
