Ascot Vale Railway Reserve

Draft Landscape Plan

Council are planning to improve the amenity of the Ascot Vale neighbourhood by upgrading the Ascot Vale Railway Reserve (between North Street and Bloomfield Road).

This will involve Council applying for a community land lease with VicTrack, followed by staged landscape upgrade works as outlined:

  1. Stage 01: Removal of weeds and providing new mass planting;
  2. Stage 02: Widen the path to 3m, relocate pedestrian lighting and provide a new bluestone wall, rockwork and fencing;
  3. Stage 03: install pocket park seating, decking, bike hoops and signage.

Timing of the works is yet to be confirmed.
