Moonee Valley City Council is committed to being a Child Safe organisation, protecting children and young people from all types of harm or abuse whenever they interact with us - in person, online, at our facilities, when using our services and at our events.

Council continuously reviews its processes to understand how else we can protect children and young people.

As part of this work, Council has developed a draft Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.

The draft Policy provides guidance to all levels of Council about how to keep children and young people safe, and outlines the responsibilities and practices that create and maintain a child-safe culture.

Have Your Say

We’re asking for feedback from the community on the draft Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.

We want to know:

  • your overall level of support for the plan; and
  • if you have anything further to share about the Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.

Your input will help shape the final Policy. You can provide feedback by:

  • completing our online survey before 25 November
  • recording your feedback using the SpeakPipe tool on this page
  • emailing, phoning or writing by mail to Council.
How to report a child safety incident
