The Minister for Planning is considering whether to prepare, approve and adopt Draft Planning Scheme Amendment C240moon to the Moonee Valley Planning Scheme under section 20(4) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987. The draft amendment applies to land at 11-45 Derby Street, Moonee Ponds.
Consultation is being undertaken under section 20(5) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
This consultation invites feedback on the Draft Moonee Valley Planning Scheme Amendment C240moon. The amendment proposes to:
- Remove the Incorporated Plan Overlay – Schedule 7 from the site.
- Replace the current Development Concept Plan for the Former Essendon & District Memorial Hospital.
These changes aim to support draft planning permit PA2503906, which would allow the land to be used and developed for a retirement village, including a reduction in car parking requirements.
