Help us choose a name for the new Flemington Hub!

Moonee Valley City Council is building a new Flemington Hub at 25 Mt Alexander Road, Flemington.

We’re incorporating Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung language into the name of the new hub.

We consulted with local elders who have suggested two names that promote belonging and connection for this vibrant multi-purpose community facility:

  • Nugal Djerring (pron: noo-goul jerr-ring) Flemington
    Belonging Together Flemington
  • Djerring (pron: jerr-ring) Flemington Hub
    Together Flemington Hub
Assigning an official name to the facility will ensure compliance with the Geographic Place Names Act 1998 and the Naming rules for places in Victoria.

Please cast your vote by 26 October. All votes will be counted, the name with the majority of votes will become the official name of the new Community Hub in Flemington subject to Moonee Valley City Council approval.

If you wish to object to the name(s) please do so by making comment in the survey link below, by writing to Council or by email to governance@mvcc.vic.gov.au. Please provide your name, address and contact details and you must explain why you do not support the name(s).
