Moonee Valley City Council is committed to creating a connected city of accessible, active and sustainable transport choices, as outlined in our long-term strategy, MV2040. Thanks to funding from the Transport Accident Commission Local Government Grant Program, Council is consulting with community about ways we can increase the safety for shared path users on Keilor Park Drive.
The project seeks feedback on the following design improvements:
- Reconstruction and widening of the existing shared user path in selected locations
- Bicycle safety barrier fencing at the railway bridge end
- A raised crossing for cyclists & pedestrians at the Hughes Rd intersection
- New signage and line-marking for enhanced cyclist safety
- Various safety and hazard identification improvements
We're keen to hear from community members who use the path, or who have a general interest in safety improvements to shared use paths. Have your say today!
