Over coming months Moonee Valley Libraries will be introducing a new payment system for printing and photocopying at our library branches. Council intends to move to a cashless, streamlined process that will improve ease-of-use. Cashless transactions are also a more COVID-Safe option for both the community and staff.

The emphasis of this project is to decrease the amount of cash handling in our libraries; however, Council wants printing and photocopying facilities to remain accessible to all members of the community. For this reason, users will still have the option of paying in cash where necessary.

With the new payment system you will be able to pay in a number of ways for your printing and photocopying. The new payment system will mean you can pay by:

  • pre-loaded library card
  • paying with cash via staff
  • paying with card via staff
  • paying with cash using a pay station
  • paying with card using a pay station
  • paying with eftpos at the printer
  • paying online via card prior to arrival

Thank you to everyone who participated and gave us feeddback. We are in the process of collating findings and we will use the findings to help inform which system we go with. A summary of the findings can be found on Your Say shortly.
