Time for a Final Push!
There's just over one day to go of the Federal Election campaign and we're still eagerly waiting to hear whether the Moonee Ponds Creek has been successful in its campaign to secure Priority Urban Waterway funding.
It's been great to see other Creeks and Rivers in Melbourne's West like Stony Creek, the Werribee River and the Maribyrnong River secure funding announcements this election campaign. But we've worked so hard for our Moonee Ponds Creek, and we don't want it to miss out.
Will you join us for one final push to secure funding for the Moonee Ponds Creek?
Please share the petition amongst your friends and on your social media channels and encourage them to join the hundreds of people who have already signed on to support the Moonee Ponds Creek.
You may also like to call your local Member of Parliament's office to let them know why funding the Moonee Ponds Creek is so important to you as a constituent. Please be polite and to-the-point, as this is a very busy time for them! If you live in Moonee Valley, your local Member of Parliament is the Hon. Bill Shorten MP; his office can be contacted on (03) 9326 1300. If you're a Moreland resident, your Member of Parliament his Peter Khalil MP; his office number is (03) 9350 5777.
We're so close to securing funding to make our Moonee Ponds Creek cleaner, greener and more beautiful. With your support, we can still do this!
