Do you have ideas about how Moonee Valley can be improved as a home for young people?
Join our Young People’s Committee!
We invite passionate young people aged 12 to 25 to join us and participate in our community by representing your peers and be actively involved in advocating for young people. The committee meets fortnightly and provides young people in Moonee Valley with an opportunity to:
- Develop their leadership skills and support youth-led initiatives.
- Advocate and inform Council on a range of issues that affect local young people.
- Gain great experience for your resume!
- Improve Moonee Valley as a place for young people to live and thrive.
Some fantastic past projects the Young People's Committee has been involved in include:
- Youth Forums
- Youth Week Carnival
- Consultations of the Fair Action Plan
- RUOK? Day afternoon tea
- International Women's Day art competition
- Engagement with high schools
