Strathmore - my 20-minute neighbourhood

Moonee Valley City Council piloted a 20-minute neighbourhood program in Strathmore, with the support of the Victorian Government, the Heart Foundation, and Victoria Walks.

The only way we can achieve strong 20-minute neighbourhoods is by partnering with residents, community groups and services that have years of local knowledge and experience to share.

There have been several events during the project with the aim of bringing the neighbourhood together. These included community workshops for locals to share the perspectives on living and walking in Strathmore, a street party at the 'pop up' park opposite Strathmore train station, a 'Coffee with a Cop' session for locals to share what helps them feel safe in Strathmore, and a movie night in Boeing Reserve to celebrate the project in a much-loved local green space.

We would like your feedback on what a 20-minute neighbourhood means to you?

You can fill in our quick survey below and also fill in forum letting us know what a 20 minute neighbourhood means to you.

Alternatively you can speak to a project staff member at the Strathmore Movie Night at Boeing Reserve, Strathmore Heights on Friday 8 February from 6.30pm onwards or attend the Walk with a Cop Strathmore on Wednesday 13 February from 9am at Strathmore Children's Centre.
