Council sought to understand the level of community support for our Draft Annual Plan 2026/27. This consultation has now closed, and Council is considering your feedback.
Background
Every financial year, Council produces an Annual Plan that details key initiatives scheduled for delivery over the next financial year.
These activities work towards the strategies of our Council Plan 2025-29 and are informed by our MV2040 community vision and long-term strategy.
Council then provides updates about the progress of the Annual Plan through quarterly reports to Council, and then in our Annual Report.
Community engagement
Significant engagement occurred during the development of the Council Plan 2025-29. That engagement informed the scope of work detailed in the Draft Annual Plan 2026-27. Between 29 April and 27 May, Council invited community feedback about the Draft Annual Plan 2026/27.
Community members could provide feedback by:
- completing an online survey
- recording feedback via a Speak Pipe tool on this page
- emailing, phoning or writing by mail to Council
Draft Budget 2026/27
The Annual Plan is closely linked with our budget for the next financial year. Community members were also invited to have their say about the Draft Budget 2026/27 via a separate public consultation.
