Welcome to our Draft Budget

We have worked hard to develop a responsible draft budget with reduced revenue. This means we can still deliver great services and infrastructure to building a healthy city now and into the future.

Providing feedback on our draft annual budget is one way you can help shape our Council. We are also keen on feedback on our Community Vision, Council and Health Plan which you can do so here.

This Budget will allow us to deliver many services and programs to benefit our community. It will ensure we maintain, upgrade and replace ageing infrastructure such as sporting precincts, early years facilities, playgrounds, footpaths and roads. And it will support our community as we recover from the impacts of the pandemic.

Draft budget overview and highlights

Rates will be increased by 1.5% in line with Rate Capping limits.

Highlights include:

  • Upgrading local roads ($4.8 million)
  • Creating new open spaces ($1.5 million)
  • Improving stormwater drainage ($1.21 million)
  • Investment in our libraries ($730,000)
  • Planting more trees ($900,000)
  • BMX & MTB facilties ($300,000)
  • Continuing our Better Moves Around Schools program ($180,000)
