The purpose of this group is to guide and ensure Council’s communications and activities within the community are accessible, inclusive, and relevant to all, in particular in terms of language.
The DAC assists in the development and delivery of Councils Disability Action Plan, and collaborates each year to deliver the Council project to acknowledge and celebrate International day of People with Disability.
The Moonee Valley Community Advisory Panel will provide recommendations to Council as to the prioritisation and advice for achieving the community vision
The Taskforce will provide recommendations to Council as to the prioritisation of implementing community carbon emission reduction initiatives.
Moonee Valley Pride (MV Pride) is the voice of Moonee Valley's LGBTIQA+ community, providing feedback to Council to make sure our City is fair, welcoming and safe for all.
The Active Ageing Reference Group is responsible for providing advice and recommendations as representatives of the broader community. It will provide insight into the issues impacting Council’s ageing population.
We invite passionate young people aged 12 to 25 to join us and participate in our community by representing your peers and be actively involved in advocating for young people.
The Community Grants Advisory Committee (Committee) is established to assess and provide objective advice and recommendations on the allocation of the Biannual and Partnership Grants streams of the Community Funding Program (excluding the Social Support category). The Committee’s recommendations are then considered by the Mayor and Councillors at a meeting of Council.
Following the October 2022 flood event, we're forming a Community Recovery Committee to ensure that activities delivered meet the needs of affected community.
